Receipts
Snap it. We read every line and file it.
A receipt is a photo that becomes a line in your books. You snap it; we read the store, the date, every item, the total and the HST, and file it under the right household, corp or property. You only answer what we can't work out.
Capturing
- On your phone: open Receipts and tap the camera. Snap several in a row; they upload together.
- At your desk: drop photos or PDFs anywhere on the page, paste from the clipboard, or press U.
- The same photo twice is noticed, not duplicated.
What happens next
Each receipt appears straight away with Reading… under it. A few seconds later it shows the store and the total. Most are filed with nothing to do. When something is unclear, the receipt says Needs a look and asks one question, like which card you paid with or whether it was personal or for the corp. Answer with a tap.
Checking a stack
On a desk, Enter confirms a receipt and moves to the next one; J and K move up and down; I shows the photo beside the fields. Press ? for every shortcut.
Finding one later
The search box filters as you type: a store, an item, an amount, a category. Press Enter to ask in plain words, like Home Depot this year over $100, and the list answers with a count and a total.
Into the books
A saved receipt shows Ready to add to your books. Adding it happens in Books, where it can be matched to a bank line. Deleting a receipt deletes its photo too; a receipt already in the books tells you where to undo it first.
