Invoices

Bill a client with the right tax, and get paid.

Invoices are for the money owed to you: consulting through your corp, a side business, rent. Each one carries the right sales tax for the province, a number in sequence, and your terms.

Making one

  1. Open Invoices and choose New invoice.
  2. Pick the customer, or add one. Their details are remembered for next time.
  3. Add the lines. HST or GST is applied for you; change it on a line if a service is exempt.
  4. Save. The number is assigned in order, and the invoice is in your books as money owed.

Sharing it

Every invoice has a link you can send. Your client sees a clean page with the amount, the due date and your payment details. No sign-in needed on their side.

Getting paid

When the money arrives, mark the invoice paid, or let a matching bank line do it for you from Books. Overdue invoices show up on Home under what needs you.

Numbering and terms

Your prefix, the next number and your default terms live in the invoice settings. Set them once; every invoice after that follows.
